Researchers mainly from companies and universities participating in this project, as well as outside researchers on the forefront of technology are invited to do technical research on next-generation imaging technology and its industrial applications.

Researchers mainly from companies and universities participating in this project, as well as outside researchers on the forefront of technology are invited to do technical research on imaging devices, imaging systems and the like through combination of medicine, information technology and engineering. |

To encourage development of new technologies and new products in imaging technology, imaging seminars are held to provide explanatory information on the latest imaging technology, its developments and the possibility of its diverse applications in industry, to local companies, etc. |

Presentations of research results are provided to publicly announce the results of research from the Knowledge Cluster Formation Project and the Industrial Cluster Project. Exhibitions are also given to show the latest products relating to photonic technology focusing on imaging technology. |

Based on the needs of participating companies in the project, projects are carried out ranging from a project for extending research results from the Knowledge Cluster Formation Project to the region to a specialized basic technology session, and to specific activities for product development promoted by Subject Working Groups. Those projects are designed to help companies in the Hamamatsu area engaged in developing new products and launching new businesses using imaging technology. |
